Library support Myanmar

Libraries widen spiritual learning

Helping pastors and their congregations to increase their Biblical knowledge and opportunities by offering books for church libraries is just one of the goals of the Trust. The church workers and congregation have access to the books via the library and these can form a basis for sermons, Bible study, discussion and spiritual development.

Books mailed to churches for use in church libraries gain a wider audience offering greater opportunity to spread the right messages throughout the local area.

We were able to offer just such support to Dr Mang from a Baptist Church in Myanmar by sending10 copies of Through Cloud & Fire, by Walter Lowndes, and 10 copies of Surviving the Storm, by Wendy Foxhall.

Dr Mang gave some enthusiastic feedback on the books his church received:

“I personally believe that pastor cannot preach without books and a faithful study brings effective sermon that changes lives. Your books are so precious and constructive to my preaching and writings and we thank the Lord for the books.

We have no other source for getting Christian literature and we need more books from you. Your books open my church members' biblical and theological knowledge that we grow both in spiritual and mission. Your books help us know better of our Christianity and evangelical doctrines in contrast to liberalism and postmodernism.”
