"Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet"

These inspirational words, from Psalm 119:105, form part of the letterhead of the Evangelical Library of Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Following our recent worldwide mailing, we are receiving so many inspirational stories of those coming to God and growing closer to Him. One such story and photographs came from Roheen, from the Evangelical Library, Colombo. The Evangelical Library is a real success story, and in its service of the people of Colombo it has gone from strength to strength.

“We are so grateful for this gift of books which are of tremendous value to our library and a great blessing to all who read them.” Roheen writes. “…so many people read these books which you sent and get close to the Lord…and thereafter start reading the Bible.” 

In her letter to the Trust, Roheen also included a testimony from one of the library members, Malika, now also a member of staff at the library:

“I was working in a medical book library when a friend of mine introduced me to the Evangelical Library. I thank God that I have now worked here for 17 years. It has kept me busy and I enjoy the work very much. The books are absolutely good and lead to changing lives through reading the books. This library is a store of knowledge regarding the word of God. May God enlarge Sovereign World Trust ministry and bless all who work there…. …May God touch the hearts of the people who will read these books and change their lives.”
