The importance of supporting young pastors

In our January mailbox we received wonderful news from one young Tanzanian pastor we have been able to support with a supply of study books. 

Pastor William wrote to us telling how books we have been able to send him inspired him to join a Bible college and he gave news on how he had got on in his studies. 

In November 2019 William completed his Diploma in Theology, receiving the highest score in his class. William proudly sent a copy of his diploma official transcript. “The supporting material helped me so much,” he enthused. 

Pastor William’s church is increasing in number of worshipers, and growing spiritually and geographically. He has started another branch of his church nearby and this, together with previous church plants, is doing well. 

William is working closely with the youth in his church, together with outreach into local primary and secondary schools. He also works with those on the streets. 

He credits the knowledge he has gained from the books sent by the Trust in helping him greatly to move forward in his faith and mission. 

Helping young pastors to develop and grow in their faith, knowledge, teaching and preaching is both a great privilege and a great joy. It is also essential for the growth of the faithful church.
